What is the structure of floor spring?


The basic configuration of the floor spring is the pivot and the base. The ceiling shaft is a fitting connecting the door frame and door leaf at the upper part, which is composed of a bolt type shaft fixed on the door leaf and a shaft sleeve fixed on the door leaf. The ceiling shaft and anchor can be applied to almost all wooden, steel, aluminum alloy doors and frameless glass doors with glass door patch fitting.


The basic structure of floor spring includes floor spring body, cement box, installation accessories, adjusting wrench, panel, carriage, cam, piston, bearing, cylinder head, sealing ring, spring, adjusting screw and hydraulic oil.


The installation accessories of glass door floor spring include bracket and support arm. The support arm adopts cold forging process, and the bracket adopts stamping and welding.


The stainless steel panel is the most important external accessory of the floor spring. The carriage is one of the main parts of the floor spring. Materials with toughness and hardness that have no effect on its composition must be used.



How does floor spring work?


The principle of the floor spring is to close the door by pressing the spring with a turbine device. The floor spring is divided into two parts: the ceiling shaft and the anchor. The ceiling shaft is used to connect the door leaf and the door frame, and the anchor is fixed on the door frame. Through the release of spring pressure, push the celestial axis to let the door close freely.


When the door is opened to any one side the bottom arm fixed to the door rotates the cam spindle of floor spring and in turn the cam also rotates.


With the rotation of the cam, the cam assembly or connecting rod spring connected to the piston pulls the piston head. Both the compression springs and oil get compressed to make floor springs store energy. Under this condition the oil rushes to the other side of the piston head through the check valve in the piston head.


If the door is opened till 90°, the cam engages in arrester pin. This holds the door at 90° and will remain open as long as it is not disengaged by applying force on the door. If the door opens less than 90°, when the door is released, the stored energy in the floor spring tries to push the piston head, providing the closing action of the door.
